Bohemian Chic Wedding in Mereveld Utrecht | Sarah & Ali
Sarah & Ali were first love of each other, been together ever since and celebrated their love on a beautiful day last May in Mereveld, Utrecht. With a passion for design and interior, Sarah was able to incorporate stylish and fun elements in her wedding. Ali is originally from Iraq, so the wedding also had some Arabic accents. From the super chic flower crown to the bohemian-style arm band and necklace; from hand-made garlands out of lace and paper to hand-decorated marmelade jars with flowers; from amazing little cute succulents as “thank you” gifts to the overall color scheme of the wedding. Everything was thoughtful and cohesive in a lovely setting.
Ali and his family picked Sarah up in her beautiful home garden. Then we went off to take bride & groom photo shoot on a cute little barn near Utrecht, with a lots of greens and rustic feeling. The ceremony and reception location were both on a spacious and stylish farm Mereveld in Utrecht. While the guests were seated, we heard the opening theme music from Star War, and there was Sarah walking down the aisle with her father. What an adorable & fun choice! It’s always nice when the couple chooses something more personal and incorporates their personality in the wedding. At the end of the ceremony the music choice was “Better Together” from Jack Johnson and “All You Need Is Love” from The Beatles.
The evening went on with reception in the garden and a cozy buffet dinner. They had arranged an Arabic band for the party, so naturally the evening couldn’t be completed without lots and lots of dances.

De bruiloft | Sarah's passie voor interieurdesign zorgde ervoor dat ze een aantal leuke, stylish elementen op haar bruiloft had. Ali komt oorspronkelijk uit Irak, dus de bruiloft had ook een aantal Arabische accenten. Van de chique bloemenkrans tot de prachtige juwelen in de bohemian stijl en van hand-gemaakte guirlandes van kant tot zelf gedecoreerde jampotjes met bloemen. De hele bruiloft was uitgedacht en samen was alles één kloppend geheel.
The first look & fotoshoot | Ali en zijn familie haalde Sarah op in hun prachtige tuin. De fotoshoot was op een schattige boerderij omgeven door veel groen en een rustieke sfeer.
Boerderij Mereveld | De ceremonie en de receptie vonden plaats op de Utrechtse boerderij in Mereveld. Vooral de ruimtelijke omgeving gaf de doorslag om voor deze plek te kiezen. Het diner werd gehouden in de tuin van de boerderij en er was een Arabische band voor de feestavond! Natuurlijk werd er veel gedanst op deze vrolijke beats!
