What are the odds when you meet someone across the ocean and end up with each other for the rest of your life? Larissa and Gon met on a Korean-learning online chat group when she started her interest in Korean. They fell for each other real soon throughout the chatting sessions, and before she realized, she was already on a plane to visit him thousands of kilometers away.

Fast forward to about one and a half year ago, Gon decided it was time to quit the long distance and come to the Netherlands. He has been living with her family since then, got to know everyone in her life, became best friends with her brother and sister and shared memories.

Their wedding was an intimate celebration with close family and friends. The day started with bridal fotoshoot in the old library of Schiedam, then followed by a wedding ceremony in Oude Pelgrimvaderskerk in Delfshaven. Reception was held at Zaalverhuur Pescador in Schiedam. How these two interact with each other was so adorable and cute. They have created their own language when talking together - a combination of English/Dutch and Korean in every sentence!

They had help from lots of families and friends: the videographer is a close friend who is also a youtuber; the hairstylist used be a professional hairstylist in New Zealand but now works at an organic restaurant in Rotterdam; and the priest is the father of the videographer who has been a family friend for many years. Tying the knot means a celebration in this warm and close community and I'm honored to be part of it.
