Terre Di Nano Tuscany Wedding | Darcy & Edward

Imagine having a ceremony overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. The town of Pienza is in the background while enjoying cocktails during the sunset.

Darcy & Edward’s destination wedding in Tuscany had the perfect combination of natural beauty and rustic elegance of Tuscany. Being an artist herself, Darcy drew inspiration from their passion for antique arts, botanical patterns, and above all, the landscape this region has to offer. It was a refined yet comfortable garden party celebrated with guests from the U.S. and the U.K.

I was fortunate to document all of these in Terre di Nano, a beautiful villa in Montepulciano.

The bride is an artist herself and designed their wedding stationery on her own. Floral elements were beautifully implemented in the stationery, decor, tablescape, bridal gown, and the bridesmaids' dresses.

The groomsmen each wore their own blue suits, paired with mismatched vintage Ferragamo silk ties that Edward sourced himself and gifted to them.

Wedding Ceremony in Terre di Nano, a Tuscan villa

What’s better than exchanging vows with the breathtaking backdrop of Montepulciano? The vineyards, the cypress trees, and the rolling of the hills. As a wedding photographer who frequently shoots in the Montepulciano region, I still get emotional and taken away by the beauty.

The cocktail hour kicked off on the terrace of Terre di Nano with the signature drink of the region, the refreshing Aperol Spritz. Guests raised their glasses and exchanged laughter and hugs in celebration, toasting to the love and happiness of the couple. Emotions ran high as Darcy & Edward poured their hearts out, expressing their gratitude to their loved ones. I was also moved by the sincerity and depth of their words while capturing these tender moments.

Italian Wedding Reception under the Olive Grove

The olive garden was what got the couple to choose this venue eventually. With two long dinner tables lined beneath the olive trees, this Tuscany wedding reception exuded an enchanting ambiance.

The design palette used a mix of blue and white shades, with dusty blue tablecloths that accentuated the crisp elegance. Delicate white flowers in antique-styled brass vases added a touch of timeless beauty. A Tuscany destination wedding couldn’t get more perfect while guests enjoyed Terre di Nano’s own Montepulciano wine.

Having Chymo capture our Italian destination wedding was one of the best decisions we made while planning. Her work speaks for itself and is so perfectly natural, soft, and filled with light and emotion. What you see of her past work is very much what you will get! What you may not be able to see by looking, though, is how wonderful of a presence she is on the day-of. Chymo is incredibly kind, calm, professional, and subtle (in the best way). She’s very efficient with her time when capturing those few must-have posed shots (family portraits, couple portraits, etc), and does most of her shooting more candidly and in the background, allowing you actually get to savor your wedding day and capturing the true emotion and experience of it all. Our experience with her was so lovely and we’ll treasure our photographs for years to come.
